Introduction

This policy explains what information FLIPWALK ("this App") collects and how it is handled.

Key principle: This App has no server of its own. Your personal data — location, walking routes, health data, and session records — is stored only on your device and is never transmitted externally. The only data that leaves your device is anonymous, aggregated usage analytics, described under "Third-Party Sharing and Analytics" below.

Information We Collect

1. Location

  • Purpose: Recording your walking route during interval walking sessions
  • When collected: From when you tap the "Start" button until the session ends
  • Background collection: During a session, location is collected continuously even when the screen is locked or you switch to another app. This allows the route to be recorded fully even when the device is in your pocket. iOS shows a status bar indicator while background location is in use
  • Storage: On your device only (SwiftData)
  • Third-party sharing: None

2. Health Data (HealthKit)

This App integrates with the Apple Health app to read and write the following data.

  • Read: Past step count, exercise time, body mass (used to estimate calories burned)
  • Write: Sessions are recorded as workouts (duration, distance, steps, active energy)
  • Storage: Apple Health (OS-managed encrypted storage) and on your device
  • Third-party sharing: None
  • You can revoke health data access at any time via Settings > Privacy > Health

3. Session Records

Results of sessions (date/time, fast walking sets, total duration, route data, etc.) are saved on your device via SwiftData. No third-party sharing.

4. Notifications

The App schedules the optional daily reminder you set using the OS local notification system (no communication with external servers). Phase changes (fast/slow) are signaled by in-app audio and haptics, not notifications.

Information We Do NOT Collect

  • Personal identifiers such as name, email address, or phone number
  • Advertising identifiers (IDFA) or identifiers used for cross-app tracking
  • Account information (this App has no login feature)

Third-Party Sharing and Analytics

This App uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to collect anonymous usage data (such as app launches and when sessions start or complete, including set counts) to help improve the App. This data is aggregated and anonymous: it includes no personal identifiers, no advertising ID (IDFA), and is not used for cross-app tracking. Your location, walking routes, and health data are never sent to TelemetryDeck or any external party. No advertising SDKs are integrated.

Data Retention and Deletion

All data is stored only on your device.

  • Delete individual records: Select and delete a record from the History tab
  • Delete all data: Removing this App from the iOS home screen deletes all records saved in SwiftData
  • Health data we wrote: Can be deleted individually from the Apple Health app

Children's Privacy

As described above, your personal data created by this App is stored only on your device. The developer does not collect personal information from any user, regardless of age. The anonymous usage analytics described above contain no information that identifies a person.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated without prior notice. Significant changes will be announced within the App or in the App Store description.
